As construction nears completion on the Perez Art Museum Miami, next door the Patricia And Phillip Frost Museum of Science is making serious progress too. The lower half of the big beach ball-like planetarium's sphere is up, the aquarium lens/ballroom ceiling is being made in Italy at the moment and the first level of the aquarium's supports are installed. The whole thing will be finished, and ready for animals and screaming kids on field trips, in 2015. Do check out a neato animation of the museum under construction here.
