All the latest real estate news from Curbed NY...
1) Chelsea: Cindy Gallop, the founder of the pro-sex movement Make Love Not Porn, listed her 3,800-square foot loft for $6 million, and it is as racy and ridiculous as Gallop herself. The all-black, erotica-filled apartment starred in the music video for Nelly's Nasty Girl and played the role of a pimp's apartment on Law & Order: SVU. Lots more photos, over here.
2) Midtown: JDS Development is joining the super tall crowd on 57th Street with a super skinny 1,350-foot-tall luxury condo tower, and they've upped the ante with a new design team. They ditched the bland Cetra/Ruddy and hired, firm-of-the-moment SHoP Architects. The new edifice was revealed this week; do check it out.
3) Flatiron District: In other tall tower news, One Madison, formerly known as One Madison Park, made its official comeback. The long-troubled condo revamped and relisted its units. That duplex penthouse is back, and it wants $50 million.
4) West Village: A prohibition-style speakeasy, 40-foot atrium, a solarium, a rooftop garden, and intricate ornamental cast iron put this townhouse over the top, but is that really surprising for a home that hosted the Real World? Of course, the price tag keeps with the mind-boggling theme?it's listed for $22 million.
