All the news from Curbed NY...
1) Midtown East: The very private and very wealthy River House is trying to keep up with the billionaire Joneses. The co-op announced plans to turn its private club into a 62,000-square-foot private residence that would be listed for somewhere around, oh, $130 million. It would be the city's largest and most expensive home.
2) Chelsea: The townhouse of former Beastie Boy Adam Horovitz was making headlines in preservationist circles, and now the man himself is making real estate news; he recently bought a two-bedroom Chelsea loft for less than $3 million.
3) Tudor City: The General Assembly of the United Nations is currently meeting at its permanent headquarters in New York, and to mark the occasion, Curbed NY culled the photo archives to find historic photos showing the construction of the iconic complex. Forty-four photos of the site from 1946 to 1953, right this way.
4) Upper East Side: The 34-foot long entry gallery and 700-bottle wine cellar of this Park Avenue penthouse are certainly nice, but the showstopper is the nearly 3,000-square-foot private rooftop terrace. It's yours for $27.5 million.
