The latest New York City real estate goings-on from our sister site Curbed NY...
1) Williamsburg: A 5,000-square-foot single family home made of 21 shipping containers has risen on a corner of Williamsburg's Monitor Street. The house includes outdoor space on every level and, possibly, a pool.
2) West Village: Seth Meyers, of Saturday Night Live (and soon to be Late Night) fame, has purchased a $3.5 million 2BR condo on the 12th floor of a West 12th Street building. The modest apartment has a sunken living room, wood-burning fireplace, and quaint floorplan, with "chambers."
3) East Village: And speaking of celebrity real estate, actor Alan Cumming paid $4.65 million for a somewhat rundown brick townhouse in the East Village. Whether or not he'll tear it down, like David Schwimmer did with his East Village townhouse, remains to be seen.
4) Harlem: Curbed's video team and comedian Will Garre ventured north of Central Park to find out what Harlem dwellers love and hate about their neighborhood. The answers may surprise you.
