Sears has submitted plans to the City of Aventura to build itself a little village of retail, offices, and even a hotel where their store is currently located at Aventura Mall (hey, it'll be mixed use!). The current two-level Sears with its auto center and surface parking would be replaced by a smaller format, 20,000 square foot Sears within the 250,000 squee feet of retail coming to the 'village', as well as both "below grade and above grade parking structures". They're calling it the Esplanade at Aventura, and it totally outdoes Aventura Mall's Piazza (the little plaza where Cheesecake Factory is) right next door. Like seriously.
