Bad news friends: another major work of starchitecture has died at the hands of the City of Miami Beach's new commission. This one is the Lincoln Lane North Project, which would have been a pedestrian paseo with shops, entertainment, and residential. City Manager Jimmy Morales, who apparently thinks himself a paragon of good taste, wrote in a memorandum "The proposals have frankly gotten stale," and the commission chucked the whole thing out including the plan's leading proposal (above) by developer Robert Wennett and architectural firm Snøhetta.
