What's In A Name?

Here's a weird factoid: In 1967, around the same time that the 79th Street Causeway was renamed the John F. Kennedy Causeway, Miami's Airport Expressway, "perhaps the busiest in the county", was also renamed. It became the Robert Frost Highway, a name which has now practically disappeared from usage. Anybody know what happened? [St. Petersburg Times]
