What's up with New York at Curbed NY...
1) Upper East Side: A rendering for Robert A.M. Stern's newest limestone creation at 520 Park Avenue was revealed to the world this week, along with many new details. The Zeckondorf-developed property will rise 51 stories and be home to just 31 units. The penthouse will be a 12,400-square-foot triplex "priced considerably more than $100 million." Pricing will start at $27 million.
2) East Harlem: Karim Rashid is bringing another of his bold and fantastical creations to northern Manhattan, this time in the form of a fluorescent-balconied eight-story apartment building. The new development will stand in stark opposition to the neighborhood's characteristic pre-war brownstones.
3) Greenwich Village: Supermodel Kate Moss's 1990's carriage house crash-pad is on the rental market, asking $19,000/month. The two-bedroom home has dual-level private outdoor space and maintains a lot of the space's original, charming detail from exposed brick walls to a wood-burning fireplace.
4) Citywide: Traveling to New York? Why book a room in an expensive hotel when you could book a home through AirBnB? Take a look at a few of the city's offerings here.
