After 101 Years, Tobacco Road Is Moving Down The Road

First Churchill's Pub sells to new owners, provoking fear of the unknown, and now we hear that Miami's oldest bar, the even more venerated Tobacco Road, is officially selling and relocating to another site. Well, actually they already sold. The land on which the establishment was established was sold to developers in 2012, who granted it a lease to remain open for three years... with the uncertain possibility of a few more.

Facing the writing on the wall, New Times reports that a group of employees has purchased the business and are moving it to "the triangle building on the edge of the parking lot" at 69 SW Seventh Street, Tobacco Road's first move in 101 years.
