Ridesharing service Lyft, which is kind of like a slightly awkward version of Uber or a taxi because the driver is an actual person that you socialize with and fistpump (how weird, right?) and not some faceless chauffeur to ignore while he chatters away in Haitian on his cellphone and you do something else in the backseat, baking because he keeps the windows down in the godforsaken summer, has expanded to Miami! Obviously, the taxi lobby is pissed. We live in a friendlier, more sharing world, except there's money involved, so get used to it people. [Miami Herald]
