The French City Village Was Almost Paris In The 1920s

Well, it may not be Paris... but maybe it was? Down the street from the French Country Village is Coral Gables' French City Village. Designed by architects Mott B. Schmidt and Philip Goodwin, the village is located on the 1000 block of Hardee Road. It was built with the six other villages of course, in the 1920s... oh, but Paris, the Paris of the Lost Generation. How can anything called a "French City Village" from that era come without such poetic baggage? Do explore the village, after the jump, and check out the other six here.
