The Venetian Causeway, like the great city of Venice itself, can't seem to stay above water for long at all. Ahead of much needed repairs to almost the entire thing, the 87 year old causeway's draw bridges broke at 10 A.M. this morning in the 'up' position, and engineers are having a hell of a time getting them back down again.
