"It is my understanding the money does not come primarily from meters. Instead, it comes from valet companies paying to occupy metered spots. However, the point is missed entirely by the Land Use Committee. A government is not a business and is not charged with generating revenue for the sake of profits. A government is charged with providing services. Services cost money. Revenue is generated for that sole purpose.
