Ian Schrager's Miami Beach EDITION Hotel (which is a Marriott, although they seem to have dropped the M-word from the name lately) at the old Seville Hotel is now accepting reservations beginning January 2015, although exMiami says it could be open as early as November. which would be cool. The hotel, which has finally given the world a glimpse inside its minimal, pale-wood-toned guest rooms (designed by Yabu Pushelberg) by way of a few renderings on its new website, has posted job listings for everything from assistant bar managers, to nightclub managers, and banquet sous chefs.
Speaking of nightclubs, according to the website it'll have one on its "full floor entertainment area." It will also have an ice skating rink (a particular amenity not seen in a Miami Beach hotel in decades), a bowling alley, an outdoor theater, and supposedly a "private beach", which is probably totally not true at all because all ocean beaches in Miami Beach are by law public.
