The old Downtown Miami Burdines location, which is now a Macy's and will soon be vacant when that store relocates to Miami Worldcenter, is one of the locations being considered for the new Dade County Courthouse. This may sound like the courthouse could go from one historic building to another, but the courthouse people have made it crystal clear they want a new building, so hopefully someone will save Miami's most historic department store before its too late.
