The historical designation of the St. Jude Melkite Catholic Church in Brickell has been overturned by an 11th Circuit Court panel of judges because, says the panel, the city did not do enough to establish the historic nature of the church and thus was in violation of the law. How anybody thinks this 68 year old church, with its beautiful stonework, soaring vaults, and intricate stained glass, isn't historic is completely beyond us. Just check out the interior. Condos, anyone? [Miami Herald]
