"Decent enough building, but another significant move away from the overarching purpose of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden."

"The constant "art in the garden" shows (featuring Chihuly, whose factory-made "art" needs to be put out to pasture), the butterfly house, and now this building show that the emphasis has been dragged away from botanical research and horticulture towards the arts and crowd-pleasers, probably at the behest of donors with big bucks. It's just a shame that some of these wealthy patrons can't shell out some money on the botanical collections, or creating new gardens down in the neglected lowlands areas of the garden."—carcharodon [New Arts Center at Fairchild Opens With Naomi Fisher Friezes]
