Progress. The Miami Beach Convention Center will break ground right after December's Art Basel. Yesterday, Miami Beach commissioners approved up to $514.4 million for general contractor Clark Construction (the only bidder) and 200 subcontractors to complete this by June 30, 2018. Still up for debate is whether a convention center hotel will be built as well.
