All Aboard Florida Project Reveals a New Name: the Brightline

New, 3 comments

AllAboard Florida announced plans for a train between Miami and Orlando that speeds up to 125 miles per hour.

As a $2.5 billion privately funded endeavor, these trains will travel between Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Orlando.

The Brightline moniker is supposed to set a tone of optimism and delight, with cars that arrive in five different colors. While the lead locomotive is a sunny yellow, the passenger cars behind it will be bright pink, red, orange, green, and blue.

Free Wi-Fi and charging stations at the seats will come standard.

Expect to ride this train for the full length of Orlando to Miami in late 2017.
