Moishe Mana, founder of Mana Wynwood, an organization founded to encourage Wynwood's blossoming into an international arts destination and cultural epicenter for the Americas, is at it again. This time it's in partnership with Zyscovich Architects to create a Special Area Plan (SAP).
The Mana Wynwood proposal shapes the future of 30 acres in the neighborhood, expanding upon its reputation as Miami's Arts District. While the idea is to weave together a welcoming place for mom-and-pop shops, start-ups, retail, and creative professionals, the central tenet is a public square called Mana Commons. Its purpose is to support special events like Art Basel and Wynwood Art Walk, and provide plazas for open-air retail, courtyards, and pocket parks.
