photos courtesy of WorldRedEye As Brickell City Centre inches towards completion, construction was put on hold for an Art Basel party featuring music by Wooden Wisdom, a celebrity DJ duo headed by Elijah Wood (The Hobbit) and Zach Cowie. The private event of over 500 guests showed a glimpse inside the $1.05-billion project that began construction in 2012, showcasing the $30 million climate ribbon encompassing 150,000 square feet and a six-ton, 20-foot-tall sculpture "Dancers" created by British Pop artist Allen Jones.

The ribbon is designed to not only cool the open shopping areas sourced from the wind sweeping off Biscayne Bay but also redirect rain water towards landscaping throughout the complex.
