Built by a city founder to provide an essential service, this institution originally provided in high style, catering to a wealthy clientele. Like much else, it flopped in the real estate bust of 1926, then changed ownership, presumably sobering up its high-flying image. After serving the public for many years on land on the outskirts of a particular city, the spot is now surrounded by condos. Can you name this rambling building?
