Brooklyn Mansion Wants $40M; Bruce Willis Buys

All the NY real estate hot stuff from Curbed NY...

1) Brooklyn Heights: A mindbogglingly gorgeous brownstone mansion hit the market for—wait for it—$40 million, making it far and away the most expensive listing in Brooklyn. Needless to say, it would be a record-breaker if it sells for anywhere near that price.

2) Underground: A new (gross) study found traces of bacteria that cause anthrax and the bubonic plague in New York's subway system, but don't worry, they aren't at levels that can kill you.

3) Upper West Side: After selling an apartment on Central Park West last year for $13 million, Bruce Willis has now picked up a different apartment on Central Park West for $17 million.

4) On the Water: A filmmaker named Al Sutton is building a solar-powered home on a private island in the middle of the Long Island Sound. Seriously.
