As the Acqualina Resort gets closer to the completion of its first big expansion, the tall and slim Mansions at Acqualina tower directly to the south, here comes the second: the Estates at Acqualina, on the property's north side. Here, two 'mansions'-sized towers of 50 floors each will contain about 250 residential units in total. Priced from $3.9 million to $40 million, they'll range in size from about 4,500 square feet to a 13,000 square foot two story penthouse.
Below all this, Acqualina is taking advantage of the expansive 5.6 acre site to practically give the resort an orgy of amenities. Outside, there will be "lush landscaped gardens, multiple infinity pools, a FlowRider for surfers, a basketball court, a bocce court, a dog park, soccer field, a romantic beachfront restaurant and 502 feet of Atlantic oceanfront with Five Star beach and pool services." There will be restaurants, a fitness center, and a spa. A special section, called the Villa Acqualina, will have a full floor of amenities, called Circus Maximus, with an ice skating rink, bowling alley, movie theater, and a 'Wall Street Traders' club room with 'ticker tape'. Ice skating rinks and bowling alleys seem to be the cool new amenity for hotel/condo/resort type places on the beach, now that the Edition has a set of its own. Acqualina peeps haven't actually specified to us whether the ticker tape would be actual paper ticker tape, like it was in the old days, or whether or not they would use it for ticker tape parades. But it might be, and they might do that.
