24 Condo Buildings Proposed for Bay Harbor's East Island

New, 1 comment

Developers have proposed the 24th new condominium building for Bay Harbor Islands in this boom, a building called the Bay Harbor Gardens on the 1100 block of 93rd Street. Being built on three vacant lots that total half an acre, the eight story project will have thirty units and a rooftop pool deck.

All 24 of the buildings are proposed to come to Bay Harbor's East Island, because zoning on the West Island only allows single family houses, meaning a hell of a lot of construction (nearly 750 units) could come to the pretty tiny island. And all of this is happening while historic preservationists try to save the island's existing midcentury modern architecture. Could a battle royale be on its way to Bay Harbor Islands? That would be fun!
