Sensitively Updated Phineas Paist Estate Wants $6.8 Million

The winding private lanes of Coconut Grove are a treasure trove of spectacular architecture, some historic like the gobsmacking La Brisa, and some soon-to-be historic, like that swinging '70s estate in Journeys End (which uses an historic water tower as a guest house, mind you). This place, designed by the extremely talented Phineas Paist in the Mediterranean Revival style, was built in 1931, and is located in The Moorings, at 3505 S Moorings Way. Listed twelve days ago, for $6.8 million, it has sensitive updates, including a 76 foot lap pool, sauna, gym, and Raymond Jungles-designed grounds. Original architectural details include an Otis elevator, three fireplaces, quarried limestone walls, a lush courtyard, and an open air loggia.
