The Renzo Piano-designed plan to replace the historic Biltmore Terrace was approved at yesterday's Design Review Board, reports the Real Deal Miami (Which has a few facts wrong. From what we can recognize, the MDPL officer's name is Daniel Ciraldo, not Michael, and that's the wrong rendering bub). Everything else we already knew. See Curbed Miami archives to get up to speed, but basically it's a Terra Group project, the very contempo condo tower has replaced an historic Morris Lapidus-designed hotel, and Terra Group originally got a height variance from 60 to 200 feet with the promise that they would make the new structure a hotel (and preserve the old one) and welp, neither of those things happened.
