Oh mama, the Resorts World Miami casino battle is back on! A bill that sounds like it's basically designed just for Genting's Resorts World and maybe one or two other megacasinos in South Florida has been introduced in the State legislature, and includes extensive provisions, like a $2 billion minimum price tag for any new casino resort (not including land), a requirement that 90% of the square footage go to non-casino use, and that the project be located in Dade or Broward counties. The full text of the bill is here. Genting has already reportedly hired four new lobbyists to fight for it. [The Next Miami; Previous Resorts World Miami coverage]
