Historic Meridian Avenue Canal-Front Med Revival Wants $3M

New, 2 comments

This historic pile on Meridian Avenue was built in 1929 and comes with lots of original detailing, including original/restored cuban tile, pecky cyprus, beamed ceilings, and one fabulous fireplace. along with tasteful modern interventions, like a floating staircase (although one wonders what happened to the original staircase. These houses almost always had great staircases) a very sleek new kitchen, and an open floor plan (again, what happened to the walls? These architects put a lot of effort into well proportioned rooms.) All in all though, it's a gorgeous historic property. The four bedroom, four bath house is 3,400 square feet and listed at $2.995 million.
