New $1.45M Townhouse Fits in the Art Deco District Nicely

New, 3 comments

They say that South Beach has the highest concentration of art deco buildings of anywhere in the world, and the Flamingo Park neighborhood, with its closely spaced 'garden apartment' buildings on picturesque streets, is a great example of that. So, what does a real estate developer do with a small piece of land bookended between two modest yet historic deco apartment buildings located in the heart of Flamingo Park/South Beach, one of the "hottest" urban districts anywhere?

This developer built two townhouses back-to-back, creating a contemporary and understated three-story duplex that isn't out of scale with the neighbor buildings but has much roomier (albeit not huge) units. Parking is off the alley in the back, and the roof deck creates even more usable space. Completed this year, the building is brand, brand new. The three-bedroom, three-bath 1,817 square foot front townhouse is on the market for $1.45 million.
