"Well a study by the university of Miami has shown that the sea has risen 3.7 inches since 1996. Also NASA is predicting 30 inch rise or 2 and a half feet in the next 100 years. I should mention that all of NASA's previous predictions about climate change have been wrong but that was because the changes have been worst than their worst case scenarios, therefore they were right. Also another big problem is that even a modest increase in sea levels will mean our aquifers will be lost. We depend entirely on the aquifers beneath our feet for fresh drinking water. We could live on atolls but we can't drink salt water."—archiguy [Will You be Underwater When Sea Levels Rise? Find Out Here]
