The brokerbabble for this charming Mediterranean Revival house built in 1924 (when there was a lot less traffic on Alton Road) says it's "an answer to the demand for the Miami lifestyle" which, besides being a somewhat flowery thing to say, is basically true. It's not the perfect answer, but an answer. And a pretty good answer at that, in a good location (even with trafficky Alton Road), with a gorgeous pool area, some high quality historic charm, and a price that in the context of Miami Beach's high flying luxury market doesn't seem so high flying. It can be had for $1.579 million. But of course one should always negotiate.
