57 Old Photos of Hialeah Park in All its Architectural Grandeur

The renovation and conversion of Miami's historic Hialeah Park Race Track into a combination horse race track and casino continues. (the Miami Herald has a photo update on the construction over here, showing that work has expanded to the Clubhouse section of the property) It's a project which will eventually bring back many historic elements of the famed structure, where everyone from presidents to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor played, while altering many others. The Library of Congress's Historic American Buildings Survey documented Hialeah Park in 1996, when the entire structure was still untouched and intact. Although not that long ago, the photos reveal the remnants of another world.
