Say Goodbye to The Bath Club Estates, Thirteen Very Expensive Condos That Never Really Felt Right

New, 2 comments

Don Peebles is cutting his losses on his boutique, fabulously-pricy, and still fabulously-unbuilt Bath Club Estates condo development that he's been working on in North Beach for the last few years, placing the small oceanfront plot of land on the market. The developer told the Miami Herald that he ultimately decided the land was just too small, implying that it placed logistical limitations on the project that they couldn't seem to overcome. Neighboring buildings, including the Deauville Beach Resort's ominous northern wall, pressing close into the tight site, and $50 million penthouse despite the building's relatively modest, inexpensive surroundings (the rundown Deauville being a prime example) probably contributed to the problems too.
