A new year means similar results for South Florida renters, who continue to be the most cost-burdened in the country.
Note: This group includes Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach.
An unbelievable 64 percent of Miamians are spending more than 30 percent of their income on rent, per Abodo, faring very similarly to a study completed towards the end of 2015.
The cost-burdened included 90 percent of individuals earning under $35,000 a year and 71 percent of those earning between $35,000 and 50,000.
