In an astonishing twist in the Miami real estate scene, there’s a luxury residential development headed to Brickell.
Sarcasm aside, this REIT Aimco proposal, reported by the Next Miami, is a redevelopment of the Yacht Club at Brickell into a projected titled 1111 Brickell:
The proposal calls for:
New 61-story, 690-foot apartment building
Existing 32-story rental tower to be redeveloped into hotel/residential/retail use
New 961 space parking garage
New residential and retail liner
The existing Yacht Club of 358 units would be redeveloped into 178 units and 250 hotel rooms, with the 61-story building totalling 572 units. The developer also proposed another option without the hotel.
Stantec is the architect.
Is there project a good idea?
