1 Hotel South Beach just opened its Spartan Gym, the first of its kind amid a 14,000-square-foot indoor space filled with unique equipment designed for functional fitness, including equipment like overhead ropes, nets, pipes, heavy ropes, and sleds.
“We are thrilled to partner with 1 Hotels to bring the first-ever Spartan Gym to 1 Hotel South Beach,” said John Gauch, Vice President of Spartan Training. “This new gym will set the bar for Spartan training, allowing guests to fully explore and reach their fitness potential.”
The gym will be available to hotel guests and residents of 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach, and offer classes and personal sessions led by certified Spartan trainers.

The gym was designed by Gray Organschi Architecture, with standout features including an oversized industrial steel door at its entrance, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the South Pool, and of course reclaimed and recycled wood, which goes in line with 1 Hotel’s eco-friendly brand mission. Walls are lined in brick and rebar.
Also debuting with the gym is the Bamford Haybarn Spa, the first in the United States. It was designed by luxury hotel and spa designer Spencer Fung.
