Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent or buy for a set dollar amount across various Miami neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out!

Last week we looked at homes across Miami for $925,000 and under.

Our budget this week is $500,000 and our focus is on five areas: downtown Miami, South Beach, Coral Way, Glenvar Heights, and Mid-Beach. Which place would you make home?

Downtown Miami: 900 Biscayne #4105

$500,000

This 929-square-foot unit has one bedroom, two bathrooms, and a den, with incredible bay views within this centrally-located condo in downtown Miami.

South Beach: 100 Lincoln Road #736

Here’s a tiny one-bed, one-bath with 535 square feet of living space but in an awesome location with a fantastic ocean view.

Coral Way: 2925 Southwest 19th Terrace

$425,000

This home is 1,352 square feet, with three bedrooms, and two bathrooms, including a separate guest quarters.

Glenvar Heights: 7941 Southwest 94th Avenue

At 2,107 square feet, this three-bed, two-bath in Glenvar Heights features a standout backyard entertaining area, with a newly-built gazebo and grilling area.

Mid-Beach: 5600 Collins Avenue #7M

$464,900

Here’s a two-bed, two-bath in Mid-Beach, with 1,190 square feet of living space along Millionaire’s Row. The highlight is its water view to the west.
