A few weeks back Apartment List concluded Miami was the 449th best city in America (out of 500) to raise a family.
Now they ran the study on a metropolitan scale, with Miami ranking 30th out of 30 cities, dead last for the Magic City. The four weighted factors were Safety (35%), Housing Cost (30%), School Quality (25%) and my personal favorite, Child Friendliness (10%), which they base on the percentage of the population that’s under 18, because "communities with a greater percentage of children tend to be more child friendly."
The top five were Dallas, Sacramento, San Jose, San Diego, and Phoenix, and the bottom five were Portland, Atlanta, St. Louis, Tampa, and Miami.
