Miami Rents Climb in March, Rise to 8th Nationally

Move over Chicago

After holding down the No. 9 spot for months, Miami leapfrogged Chicago to become the 8th priciest major city to rent a one-bedroom apartment in March, per Zumper's April Rent Report.

One-bedroom units rose to a median price of $1,900, up from $1,840 in February. It marks a 8.6-percent spike year over year. Two-bedroom units rose slightly from $2,600 to $2,640, equating to a 12.3-percent increase year over year.

San Francisco and New York continue to hold down the top two spots, with one-bedroom units at $3,590 and $3,340, respectively.
