You Need to Make $90K to Afford a Two-Bedroom in Miami

Miami is the 7th priciest city for renters nationally

By using the 30-percent (of income) threshold for comfortable renting set by U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, a household would need to earn about $90,000 a year to rent a two-bedroom unit in Miami without being considered cost-burdened.

SmartAsset calculated Miami as the seventh most expensive place for renters looking for a two-bedroom. The Magic City also ranked fourth among cities with the fastest growing rents, rising 8.7 percent year over year.

Thankfully for South Florida renters, prices are expected to decrease over the next couple years as new units flood the market.
