Brickell's priciest listing

Asking over $4,000 a foot, the $41.8-million penthouse at the upcoming Echo Brickell designed by Carlos Ott is the most expensive residence for sale in Brickell any way you slice it.

Appearing towards the end of a Wall Street Journal article about a $45-million penthouse in New York getting divided into smaller units, we learn the developers--Property Markets Group is developing both, along with JDS Development Group for Echo --are "considering" employing the same strategy with Brickell's apex condo:

The softness isn’t limited to New York—Mr. Maloney said he is making similar changes to his projects in the Miami area ... At the Echo Brickell condominium, he said they are considering recasting the $41 million penthouse into three smaller units.

The four-bedroom, 10,500-square-foot duplex penthouse offers unparalleled views of Miami's evolving core, featuring an indoor pool, sleek wine cellar, private elevator, and over 3,000 square feet of outdoor space.

There was reportedly an offer of $37 million in December of 2014. The ultra-luxury condominium is scheduled to be completed in spring of 2017.
