It appears Amazon is following in Facebook's footsteps in a quest to take over the world, with its latest move being the expansion of its restaurant delivery service to Miami, which includes 60 participating restaurants, per the South Florida Business Journal:
The Seattle-based e-commerce company (Nasdaq: AMZN) promises food deliveries in one hour or less from the time users place their orders using the Prime Now mobile app or PrimeNow.com. The service is free with an Amazon Prime membership with Amazon.com, which costs $99 a year.
This is a really cool feature if you're already a Prime user and a depressing one if you're a service like Delivery Dudes, which charges anywhere from $5 to $7 per delivery.
