U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt once lived at a residence in Golden Beach, known as the "Winter White House." While the home was demolished in 1994, the beachfront site at 219 Ocean Boulevard still stands as a pricey piece of land, just recently sold for $10 million by Alexander Goldstein, broker and CEO of Miles Goldstein Real Estate, LLC.
The plot of land spans 29,600 square feet with 100 feet of ocean frontage. The buyer's name has yet to be reported. The plans for the property have yet to be revealed.
The Real Deal reported that the property previously sold in 2014 for $12 million. What caused it to sell at a loss was due to the site housing a partially built residence designed by architect Carlos Zapata.
