A new 13,571-square-foot mansion in Coral Gables just sold for $12.5 million. At $921 a foot, it set a record as the highest priced sale (per foot) for a dry lot in Gables Estates.

The home features a floating staircase, home theater, outdoor cabana with sauna and spa, and a balcony outside the upstairs master bedroom.

It was built and sold by Alex Pirez, President of Mocca Construction, listed with Saddy Delgado of One Sotheby’s, and designed by Cesar Molina.

"8950 Arvida Drive is truly unique," says Delgado. "The way the home uses architecture and design to blend with the site's dense and lush landscaping gives it a timeless, tropical modern flair that makes it a standout property in Gables Estates."

The property last sold for $3.5 million in 2007.
