Uber continues to overhaul the transportation industry, with scheduled rides now being offered in select Miami areas, per the South Florida Business Journal, allowing users to book trips up to 30 days in advance.
"We've heard from South Florida riders like you that sometimes you want to arrange a pickup in advance, so you can rest assured than an Uber will be available when you need it, even if it’s for a 4 a.m. ride to Miami International Airport," the company stated in a blog post. "That’s why we’ve created a solution."
The select areas include Key Biscayne, Miami Beach, and parts of West Miami, though the function wasn’t up and running in South Beach as of early Tuesday afternoon. The feature will roll out to other areas in South Florida soon.
The news comes a week after the Miami Dolphins announced a partnership with the popular ride-sharing company for transportation to and from Hard Rock Stadium.
