Welcome to Miami’s Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent or buy for a set dollar amount across various South Florida neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out!

Our previous edition of Curbed Comparisons featured Miami celebrity homes for $20 million or less.

This week, we return to earth and take a look at Miami metro apartments for $1,600 or less. That budget places us about $200 under the median rent for one-bedroom units in Miami-Dade. You’ll notice we see greater value as we head north.

Our list is arranged from south to north.

Brickell: 1430 Brickell Bay Drive #1301

$1,550

Here’s a 600-square-foot studio in the southern edge of Brickell with tile floors, a bay view, and an updated bathroom.

South Beach: 811 Jefferson Avenue

$1,600

This one-bed, one-bath in the heart of South Beach encompasses 682 square feet of living space and appears to have recently been renovated.

Measuring 831 square feet is this one-bedroom apartment in North Miami with one and a half bathrooms, some stellar bay views, and an open kitchen.

North Miami Beach: 3948 Northeast 169th Street #302C

$1,600

With two bedrooms and two bathrooms is this North Miami Beach residence overlooking the intracoastal. It’s offered furnished or unfurnished.

Aventura: 18061 Biscayne Boulevard #3022

At 1,250 square feet, our largest unit resides in Aventura. The two-bed, two-bath features a partial view of the water and a slew of amenities.
