A waterfront Fort Lauderdale estate owned by renowned mystery author Jilliane Hoffman and her husband, Richard, is on the market asking just under $3.6 million.

The 6,200-square-foot Mediterranean home is in the Las Olas neighborhood and includes five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Additional details include a home office; a wine room; a covered loggia with an outdoor kitchen; a home theater with base shaker seating; and an expansive balcony the length of the house overlooking a canal.

“One of this home’s fabulous offerings is the 100 feet of deepwater dockage, the perfect length to berth a private yacht or luxury sailboat,” said listing agent Jill Johns, Waterfront Specialist with ONE Sotheby’s and partner of DND Associates. “This listing will undoubtedly grab the attention of many boating enthusiasts during the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.”

The home was built in 2006 after the Hoffmans purchased the property a year earlier for $2.55 million.
