One of Miami Beach’s most spectacular new penthouses is off the market as the jewel unit of L’Atelier Residences just sold to Steve Hafner, CEO and Cofounder of KAYAK.
The purchase price: $21 million, which comes down to just under $1,721 per square foot if we factor in the 7,945 square feet of interior living space plus half of the 8,521 square feet of exterior space.
The standout unit atop Holly Hunt’s first-ever residential development encompasses the 17th and 18th floors, and boasts a private rooftop terrace featuring a 40-foot pool, summer kitchen, and lounge area. It has six bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, a floating staircase, a private elevator, 22-foot ceilings in the main living areas, and 360-degree views of the ocean, coastline, and intracoastal.
The project is currently 87 percent sold and is expected to be completed Spring 2018.
The penthouse was privately asking $33 million in April 2015 before publicly listing in December 2015 for $25 million. Check out the full batch of renderings over here.
