The 8,500-square-foot Mediterranean home for sale at 7825 Atlantic Way is rare in that there aren’t many single family homes actually on the ocean in Miami Beach.

It may not exactly have a beach for a backyard but its backyard has a beach for a backyard, if that makes any sense.

The seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom estate just hit the market asking $22.5 million. Among the home’s finer details are its three kitchens. There are two indoor kitchens, with one on each of the first two floors in addition to a summer kitchen by the pool. There’s also a gym, an elevator, and a 2,000-square-foot rooftop terrace that overlooks the beach.

“It's a one of a kind luxury residence overlooking the Atlantic Ocean,” adds listing agent Kathleen McManamon. “Altos Del Mar is a small gated community located between 77th and 79th streets. It's the only area in Miami Beach for a true oceanfront home south of Golden Beach.”

Records show the owner is Farid Suleman, the former chairman and CEO of Citadel Broadcasting. He and his wife, Jennifer, acquired the property for $3.425 million in 2012 before building the current home last year.
